Peyote stitch, also known as Gourd stitch, is an off-loom bead weaving technique. Peyote stitch may be worked with either an even or an odd number of beads per row. Both even and odd count peyote pieces can be woven as flat strips, in a flat round shape, or as a tube.
Eight rows of 3 mm black pearls, hand-made sterling silver Thai beads and highly prized Arizona Turquoise (aka Sleeping Beauty), roughly around 500 individual beads, cover the surface of a solid hand-made ebony bangle. Each piece has a unique pattern.
Width: approx. 1 ¼”, diameter is approx.3”. The diameter of the opening is 2 5/8” .
